China completes railway to Tibet

This is a cool engineering feat - China has completed railway to Tibet. I found the part about sealed compartments interesting - in order to prevent altitude sickness they are sealing the train like an airplane.

I always wondered how people dealt with altitude sickness on the buses that go to Tibet. It would be pretty horrible to get altitude sickness on a bus on the way up (because you need to get off the bus and somehow find a way to a lower altitude). Chinese trains are quite comfortable in the sleeping cars too, so I would imagine the journey would be much more enjoyable than a 24 hour bus ride!

Depending on whether we go to Tibet or not when we travel, we will take this new railway. Why take the bus when you can take a train and actually walk around and stretch your legs?!
